If you’re seeing condensation between the panes of glass, it means your double-glazed unit has failed. This often appears as a misty or foggy patch and is commonly referred to as a ‘blown unit.’ A failed unit compromises the energy efficiency of your window, making your room feel colder.
Conservatories are beautiful additions to any home, but they also require regular care to keep them in top condition. From roof repairs to structural adjustments and glazing replacements, we specialise in servicing and repairing conservatories of all shapes and sizes. Our team ensures that your conservatory is weatherproof, secure, and fully functional, so you can continue enjoying it year-round.
Locks, handles, and hinges can wear out over time. Regular servicing can prevent failure, but if repairs are needed, we carry a wide range of modern and traditional options to suit your windows and doors.
Cornwall’s coastal environment means salty sea air can take a toll on windows over time. Regular servicing and maintenance are essential to keep them operational and in good working condition. Unfortunately, servicing is often overlooked, leading to seized windows and failed mechanisms.
Doors and windows in your home and conservatory can often become misaligned, making it difficult to close them properly or engage the locks. Our team can adjust most doors, windows, and conservatory doors to ensure they operate smoothly, close securely, and lock perfectly.
If your glazing is damaged due to accidents or vandalism, we can quickly board up exposed areas to protect against the weather and security risks. While on-site, we can measure, supply, and install the replacement glazing for your windows or conservatories to restore their security and appearance.
Upgrading your double-glazed units can significantly improve your property’s heat retention. Our latest low-argon Planitherm units outperform typical units installed in the 2000s by up to 300%. This increased thermal efficiency can help reduce your heating bills.
If your glass has been damaged in your windows or conservatories, we can assess the situation and apply a protective layer while we measure for replacement glazing. Our team will supply and install the new glass quickly, restoring your windows and conservatories to their former condition.
Replacing your standard units with solar glazing can improve U-values by preventing overheating and enhancing your property’s overall energy performance. Additionally, it helps protect furniture from fading by blocking up to 72% of solar energy.
We also offer acoustic glazing upgrades, designed to reduce external noise. This is an ideal solution for properties near busy roads or noisy areas, including conservatories, where external noise may disrupt your relaxation or comfort.
We can assess all windows and doors to ensure they comply with fire escape regulations and advise you on any necessary actions. This may include replacing windows to provide a fire escape route or adjusting and refitting apartment front doors to enhance fire protection and meet building standards.
